Day 1: Arrival    

Depart Denver, CO for Washington, D.C., arrive in Washington, D.C. and orientation, Smithsonian Museum(s), Kennedy Center and visit to Georgetown

Day 2: Freedom Is Not Free

Arlington National Cemetery - Changing of the Guard, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Robert E. Lee Mansion, and Kennedy gravesites, Iwo Jima Marine Corp Memorial, Holocaust Memorial Museum, National Museum of African American History and Culture, Lincoln Memorial, WWII, Vietnam, and Korean War Memorials

Day 3: Branches of Government

Tour of U.S. Capitol building, Library of Congress and Supreme Court (picture opportunities), Spy Museum, National Archives, White House area (picture opportunity), Jefferson, FDR, and MLK Jr. Memorials

Day 4: New Birth of Freedom

Gettysburg Visitor Center & Exhibits, Gettysburg National Cemetery and driving tour of Gettysburg Battlefield, Ford’s Theatre and Petersen House, evening ghost tour in Alexandria

Day 5: Role of the Citizenship

Mt. Vernon - George Washington’s home and plantation, Old Town Alexandria, additional touring depending on return flight, depart for Denver, CO
