Tentative Itinerary

Day 1: Travel

Depart for Paris, France

Day 2: Arrival

Arrive in Paris, travel to Giverny, Claude Monet home and gardens, Foundation Claude Monet, travel to Caen

Day 3: Normandy

WW II Memorial Museum and Peace Garden, visit Normandy and the Omaha beach, landing area used by Allied forces in the WWII D-Day invasion,  visit the Normandy American Cemetery at St Laurent-sur Mer, continue to Saint-Malo 

Day 4: Saint-Malo

Visit Mont Saint-Michel and a walking tour of the tidal island, tour the walled citadel of Saint-Malo, after travel by high speed train to Paris

Day 5: Paris

Guided panoramic tour of Paris including photo stops at the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, explore Place Vendome and Place de la Concorde, travel by metro to Cité (City Island), visit Notre Dame Cathedral, see the  Ste Chapelle and Conciergerie (photo stops), and cross the Pont Neuf for time in Latin Quarter and Luxembourg Gardens

Day 6: Paris

Visit the famous Louvre Museum including such pieces as the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo, travel to Montmartre for a guided tour of Montmartre art district and the Sacre Coeur Cathedral

Day 7: Paris

Travel to Versailles, visit the Palace of Versailles including the Royal Chapel and Hall of Mirrors, return to Paris and travel to the top of the  Montparnasse Tower, and observation deck, evening Seine River Cruise

Day 8: Travel 

Depart for home
